Welcome to Bookworm Alley

Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?

You have just logged on to what is probably the most useful and valuable source of second-hand Salvation Army books. Bookworm Alley, based in Tavistock in the UK, also has a wide selection of SA, music, recordings, uniforms and memorabilia.

After 40 years service as an officer in the Salvation Army, mainly in South Asia, Lt-Col. Joan Williams is now living in retirement in Southwest England. In 1992 she inherited a derelict property from her father-in-law and in it were thousands of books. She had for some time sought direction as to what she should do in retirement and soon she found that the books gave her not only a great pleasure, but purpose, and Bookworm Alley was born.

All profits made are directed to real needs within the 'Army' family in India
